Airlines have been in a race to meet the increase in demands of passengers traveling to/from the USA. Gulf carriers, in particular, have been adding new routes or increasing the frequency of flights to the mighty country. And now, Kuwait Airways adds Washington Dulles as its second destination for flights to USA.
Starting from December 15th, passengers traveling to Washington from Kuwait will be able to fly with this airline. Remarkably, IAD-KWI will likely become the longest Airbus A330-800neo route in the world. It will cover a distance of 6,575 miles (10,581 km). Apart from Washington, Kuwait Airways also offers daily flights to New York JFK.
Kuwait Airways Washington Flights
Despite not being a member of the Star Alliance, Kuwait Airways is ensuring it offers its passengers the best services. The flight route between Kuwait International Airport (KWI) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) will offer convenient service three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The A330neo will take off from Kuwait and touch down at Washington Dulles, offering travelers a comfortable journey with its 235-seat configuration. The aircraft features 32 business class seats and 203 economy class seats. It’s important to note that due to the absence of crew rest areas on the A330neo, a few business class seats will remain unsold to ensure a balance between capacity and comfort.

The return journey, Dulles to Kuwait (KU116), takes off at 16:30 and lands at 13:00 the next day.
The timings of the new route mirror those of Kuwait Airways’ existing service to New York JFK. As Kuwait Airways adds Washington to its destinations, it will become the fifth Middle Eastern carrier offering flights to Dulles Airport this winter.
