In terms of both passenger traffic and the number of aircraft movements, Atlanta Airport, also known as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is the busiest airport in the world. Formerly known as Atlanta Municipal Airport, it acts as a hub for Delta Air Lines, the second-largest airline in the world in terms of revenue.

Atlanta Airport Layout

The Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal are the two main terminals that form the Atlanta Airport passenger terminal complex. Between them are the concourses T, A, B, C, D, E, and F. To learn where each terminal is, you can refer to the ATL airport map.

Domestic Terminal

The Domestic terminal at the Atlanta airport is divided into north and south. While Delta solely uses the southern part of the terminal, other airlines like United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines etc. use the northern part of the terminal. You will find baggage claim and ticketing on the same level. There are also numerous shops and restaurants around so you can either shop or eat before the security check-in. 

Domestic Main Terminal

The domestic main terminal has the Ground Transportation Center along with a 3-level atrium in the center that is surrounded by many shops and restaurants. It has the main security checkpoint, international baggage claim and also offers access to Concourse T gates. The 3,200 sq ft USO Center can be found on level 3 of the atrium. 

Concourse T

This concourse is connected to the domestic terminal of the airport and has 21 gates (T1 to T21). It contains a nursing station, service animal relief area along with the United Club, Delta Sky Club and the Admirals Club. Numerous eateries like Bojangles, Papi’s Cuban & Caribbean Cafe, and Subway are also available. You can also shop for anything you need at the outlets here. In case you want to go to any other concourse at the airport, you can ride the Plane Train from the lower level of Concourse T.  

Concourse A

Concourse A is a paradise for passengers who like last minute shopping as there are a number of shops here. It has a Delta Sky Club for those who would like to relax during a layover. It has 28 gates; from A1 to A7, A9 to A12, A15, A16, A18 to A21 and A24 to A34. 

Concourse B

With 32 gates from B1 to B7, B9 to B14, B16 to B29, B31 to B34, and B36, Concourse B also has a Minute Suites in the southern area. It offers a wide variety of food and retail options, including Blue Moon Brewhouse, Asian Chao, Peet’s Coffee, Kiehl’s, Sunglass Icon, and others. You can also find a Delta Sky Club at this concourse. 

Concourse C

With 34 gates, Concourse C is the connecting point between domestic and international terminals. It has stores like InMotion Entertainment, Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Chick-fil-A, and LongHorn Steakhouse etc. This concourse also has a service animal relief area and a smoking lounge.

Concourse D

Including D1A, D1 to D9, D9A, D10 to D16, D21, D23 to D35, D38 to D42, D44 and D46, Concourse D has 39 gates in total. Atlanta Braves All Star Grill, Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings, Five Guys, and more are just a few of the eateries here. A Delta Sky Club is also available. In this concourse, there is also a nursing station, a service animal relief area, and a money exchange station.

Concourse E

Concourse E also has 39 gates from E1 to E12, E14 and E26 to E37. The Bar, Best Buy Express, Headphone Hub, and various other eateries and retail stores are among the available options. There is a nursing station, a service animal relief area, and interfaith chapel in this concourse. Delta Sky Club can also be found in the central part of Concourse E.

International Terminal

The upper level of the terminal is used for international departures. It also has ticketing desks, cafe and a food market along with access to the security checkpoints. So, if you are going to board flights to India from Atlanta, this is where you must go. 

Wondering where to pick up international arrivals at Atlanta airport? The lower level of the terminal caters to passengers arriving through international flights. It also has baggage reclaim and Customs along with a few shops and cafes. 

 Concourse F

With 12 gates, Concourse F is connected to the international terminal of the airport. It offers duty-free shopping along with establishments like Brookstone and Tumi. Pei Wei Asian Restaurant and Starbucks are two places to eat. The Club at ATL and the Delta Sky Club are two clubs that offer entry to Priority Pass holders and customers who are willing to pay for access. A nursing station, a service animal relief area, and an interfaith chapel are also available here.
